Non nutritives sweeteners in low caloric products
- A non nutritive sweetener is an alternative sweetener that has been used to lower the calorie intake from daily consumption. It can be used directly in drinks such as teh coffee, and also in processed food.
- Saccharin was used in soft drink such as cola drink Tab ( diet cola soft drink ).
- Cyclamate was marketed in tablet from for use by diabetics as an alternative tabletop sweetener and in liquid form. One product named "Sucaryl" is still available in non-US and British market.
- Aspartame is used in sweetening cold dishes; from a new encapsulated form especially for baking; diet soft drink; table condiment; used in brands of chewable vitamin supplements and many sugar-free chewing gums.
